I’m German Rodriguez, I coach youth football in San Antonio, TX during the fall. I played from MS through College (D-III). Did HS coaching some years, started teaching youth football in 2007,  I’ve coached about 16 seasons across recreational, pop warner, competitive and select leagues, age groups 5 to 12. I’ve had various levels of success but for the most part my teams have winning seasons. I’ve been focused on a competitive 10U team for the last four years, with a combined 34-10 record (32-4 the last three years) with one city championship. During these years I have attended many different types of camps at every level, have run several different systems on offense and defense, and had first hand experience with the many issues and challenges related to coaching and running a youth football team.

I decided to start this blog as a candid resource for parents and coaches that go through the trials and tribulations of the greatest game on earth, and as a way to organize and remember why I do what I do.
